Hand To Hand Multi-Purpose Initiatives established in 2013, is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered by the Uganda National NGO Board in the Ministry of Internal Affairs under registration number S. 5914/10858. The organization exists to improve the quality of life of Ugandans through the implementation of programme interventions for improved livelihoods. It does this by conducting targeted education programs on health through various approaches including interpersonal communication leading to adoption of health seeking behaviours and practices and also creating employent opportunitites for the unemployed youth, young urban women.

Our work is coordinated from the following areas (Kampala, Luuka, Bugiri, Iganga, Luwero, Kayunga, Manafwa, Kabale and Wakiso) which are fully staffed, equipped with appropriate information technologies, and communication infrastructure. The organization works in partnership with vulnerable communities and organizations to overcome poverty and build health communities. Our desire is to build communities that are healthy, productive and self-sufficient, living in harmony with themselves, the environment and have enhanced livelihood options. Hand To Hand Multi-Purpose Initiatives collaborates with Organizations, networks and alliances, working to strengthen efforts for awareness raising and policy engagement. Our economic development programs foster entrepreneurial spirits and teach sound financial habits for women and families, while connecting business owners with the resources and information they need to succeed in a competitive market. In order to bring about lasting change, we work with local Governments to enact policies that address the underlying causes of poverty. The Rights-Based Approach (RBA) advocated by Hand To Hand Multi-Purpose Initiatives offers opportunities for local communities to think about their problems and to take charge of their own future. Our work is to assist local communities in the problem-solving process and to draw out their will to live and to support it. Towards Solutions for Youth Employment' Hand To Hand Multi-Purpose Initiatives provides trends, identifies constraints, and provides potential solutions to the youth employment crisis based on knowledge of successful programmes. The key aspects of the organization’s growth and development are based on the beneficiaries, the community, organization staff, well-wishers and the Local Government leaders

Our Features

Hand To Hand Multi-Purpose Initiatives values so much the sick people who are affected by the pandemic diseases like AIDS/HIV, COVIDE-19, entrepreneurship education and training to ‘develop entrepreneurial capacities and mindsets’ that benefit economies by fostering creativity, innovation and self-employment. While entrepreneurship provides benefits in terms of social and economic growth, it also offers benefits in terms of individual fulfillment, with entrepreneurship now breaking through the barriers of class, age, gender, sexual orientation, and race.
