INTER-AGENCY TASK FORCE FORMED TO COMBAT COVID 19

Uganda’s National Security Council has set up an Inter-Agency Joint Task Force (JTF) at National and Regional levels to support the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Combatting CODIV 19 epidemic in Uganda. The JTF is led by the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces’ (UPDF) Deputy Chief of Defence Forces, Lt Gen Wilson Mbasu Mbadi.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Uganda is rising everyday, after five more positive results were got from 227 samples tested Friday. Earlier in the day, it had been announced that four other people from Dubai who have been under quarantine tested positive on Thursday.
