However, he came up with the idea for this third film and was on board as an executive producer. The first two Paddington films were very funny and full of charm, along with excellent cameos.
This film never gets going, and you wonder what happened to the writers
In general, the performances are a bit clumsy or poorly developed, and there are few laughs. Too bad, because Paddington 2 in particular was a gem, mainly directed by Hugh Grant, who was excellent, but ably supported by the prison staff.
Paddington 3 is pretty ordinary by comparison
it needed a much better script, more developed characters, and funnier action scenes. After an hour of watching it, you might not even remember it anymore…
