Among Brazilian filmmakers, Walter Salles stands out for his talented director and interesting photography, and the production is truly impressive
In a well-constructed atmosphere, the viewer enters the past of a country, a past that the state itself denies and ignores, and this “I’m Still Here” in Brazilian cinema is even stronger. The actors are talented, and I would especially like to highlight the younger actors who certainly give the film the depth and beauty needed to feel the “magic of the film”.
Beautiful film, beautiful message and beautiful performances
As for the beautiful human side of “I’m Still Here”, it is wonderful to see a film by a director who truly understands cinema and who does not present alienated thoughts, but pure and true human expression. As a Brazilian, of course I will cheer for Walter Salles' It’s a shame that his work was nominated for an Oscar, but I think the goal of starting to talk about national cinema again has already been achieved.
