James Gunn introduced “CREATURE COMMANDOS” before he took over DC
It follows a group of military superheroes consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, a Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. Gunn himself gave the project the green light when he became CEO of DC Studios. Series writer and creator James Gunn appears in the opening credits with a laptop writing a script.

He is in the cast of AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon Cast: The Return of the King (Over the Hill) (2023). Based on the advertisement for this series, for me it was very expected and exciting to see DC having a group of monsters on one team. When I watch two episodes, I feel quite disoriented, too rushed, and I don’t fully understand the story.
What’s next, one episode per season?
The action is there, but some of the voices of some of the characters seem quite bored. I am not happy that there will be 7 episodes in one season. It has to be 14-24 in one season.
I hope they make season 2 better and I’ll continue watching this show
I like the idea of an ensemble, but I want to understand more, to feel invested in the characters but not feel rushed and lost in the show. Reading the comics is one thing, but DC’s main problem is that they don’t let you enjoy the characters enough to understand what they go through in the show or movies. James Gunn, let me love this show and the characters more and stop rushing what could be a fantastic project.
