Tale
Follows a group of military superhumans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon who appears in the opening titles with a laptop typing a script. Featured in AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon Cast: The Return of the (Hill) King (2023).
This series has fantastic characters and is extremely creative
I’ve always loved the DC Universe and while I think the DCEU was overrated, I’ve been very disappointed with several DCEU projects. I think when James Gunn says that superhero movies and television have become too generic, that’s the key, it’s true.
Since it’s still just a generic action movie (especially the sequels) I think James Gunn is really going to change things up and I can’t wait
There have been so many superhero movies in the last decade that when people see a new movie come out they don’t go to the theater because they think “another superhero movie, geez there’s way too many of them”. I also think that because Marvel has been a lot more popular, DC has a lot of great characters that have been overlooked (by fans) and I think if everything in DC works out in the next couple of years then lesser known characters will be able to do well at the box office as long as they can grab people’s attention and really have a special feeling to them.
